About
Matthew jacobs, Lsw
(he/him/his)
I am a therapist and social worker with a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. Before graduate school, I volunteered as a hotline crisis counselor supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and HIV-affected survivors of violence. I work with individuals across all ages, genders, and backgrounds, bringing a compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach to every session. I focus on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, family conflict, and trauma recovery. I believe in working alongside each person to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and improve emotional well-being. Therapy, to me, is a space where every person deserves to feel respected, understood, and empowered to live authentically.
